郭氏,山东人,现年47岁,1954年被派到中共国驻英代办处,称1957年返国短期休假时亲眼看到大饥荒惨状,于是下定决心离开中国,1960年收到调令要求回国,即于2月26日趁其他人在参加政治学习时溜出代办处,后来获得英国政府的政治庇护,其后于伦敦经营多家餐馆,生意很好。
郭氏在台湾拜会了中國大陸災胞救濟總會理事長谷正纲,在记者招待会上郭说次年要来台开餐馆。
